Background & Experience
Jim entered the construction industry in 1991. He has been President of Logan Creek Construction Co. since its founding in 1999. With sound knowledge in project planning, design, development, and construction, Jim has led the Logan Creek team on a variety of projects. He has an instinctive ability to motivate a workforce and drive projects through to completion.

Past Projects
Designed & built manufacturing/distribution facilities for Fresenius Medical Care – NA in OH, FL, CA, SC, PA, TX, AL, and NM. Fresenius produces lifesaving chemicals for kidney dialysis.

Field construction management on multiple large distribution facilities across the United States.

Revitalized Jeep Parkway with the new Dana facility, Detroit Manufacturing Systems, and All Phase Electric.

Streamlined & expedited project development for projects ranging from 5,000 SF to 500,000 SF.

Developed business parks in Oregon, OH, Rossford, OH, and Defiance, OH complete with roads and all utilities.

Ability to handle multiple projects in different municipalities to achieve site plans and subdivision plats: Including coordinating County Commissioner, The Mayor, City Council, Board of Health, Regional Planning Commission, and Zoning officials.

Logan Howell

Project Manager

Background & Experience
Logan Howell joined Logan Creek Construction as an on-site project manager in 2018. He is the grandson of founder Ed Harmon and son of company President, Jim Howell. Growing up in the family business, Logan began learning the construction trade at a young age and now manages the company’s largest projects.

Past Projects
Completed a 180,000 SF project in Rockford, OH for Fremont Canning Co. in 2019

Assisted with a major project at DFW Airport, which was a 175,000 SF expansion in 2019/2020.

Managed the 85,611 SF Capital Tire project and another 80,000SF Spec building at Harmon Business Park in 2020 and 2021.

Currently assisting with the APG Manufacturing Project in the Defiance Harmon Business Park and the Harmon Building, which is a multi-use facility at Levi’s Commons in Perrysburg. As well as traveling to Ft. Smith, AR for a 175,000 SF addition to an existing building.

Lori Smith

Background & Experience
Lori joined Logan Creek with 12 years of previous experience in office administration and management in the healthcare field. Now with over 20 years at Logan Creek, Lori oversees the daily functionality of the office, managing HR, payroll, reporting, and assisting in proposals and quotes. She oversees all professional licensing and renewals for the company. Lori is also the Drugfree Workplace Coordinator for Logan Creek and assists with proposals, quotes, and correspondence for President, and conducts yearly financial, 401K, and insurance audits.

Michele Gaertner

Office Assistant

Background & Experience
Joining Logan Creek after six years of previous experience with Van Tassel Construction, Michele has been with Logan Creek since 2007 supporting the office and growth of the business. She assists the President, Project Managers, and Business Manager while handling general office administrative tasks. These tasks include compiling monthly bank draws for construction projects; assisting Projects Managers/President with correspondence, proposals, and quotes; overseeing contracts for subcontractors for projects; organizing job binders; maintaining files; and updating contact lists.
